Open Source Web Content Management

We also deliver open source solutions including websites for central government, local government, community groups and for schools using the Plone CMS and OpenCms platforms.
- OpenCms
  
  OpenCms is a professional level Open Source Website Content Management System. It allows web editors to manage complex websites easily without knowledge of html, and in a similar fashion to editing a Microsoft Word document. The integrated WYSIWYG editor provides the user with an interface similar to well known office applications, therefore simplifying the process for editing web content, while a sophisticated template engine enforces a site-wide corporate layout. In line with the ethos of Open Source, OpenCms also benefits from being free from licensing costs. OpenCms is a fully scalable solution and will allow for any amount of additional content to be added over time, as well as increased functionality and interactive elements.

  Plone is an out-of-the-box ready content management system (CMS) that is built on the powerful Zope Application server. Plone is deeply flexible and provides a system for managing web content ideal for project groups, communities and intranets. Plone can be used in a number of ways, for example as, Intranet and Extranet server, document publishing system, portal server and as a groupware tool for collaboration between separately located entities. Clicks and Links is experienced at delivering Plone-based websites and has developed sites for a number of our clients.

As well as content management we deliver open source based web solutions for range of different sectors.

  We have long traditions in developing highly scalable enterprise level web systems utilising core Enterprise Java and open source based frameworks including:-

- Ruby On Rails
  As well as java, over the last couple of years we have developed quality web applications based on RubyOnRails. We favour this framework for short and low budget Rapid Application Development (RAD) projects.
