
Electronic Services
The original Government targets for electronic service delivery focused on the requirement that all public services should be available on-line or over the telephone by 2005.
Progress towards this objective is broadly "on track", however this will not deliver the improvements and savings in service delivery required, so the targets are moving on to the level of use of on-line services.
To achieve the required high levels of take-up, particularly by those groups that are the primary users of public services it is necessary to address all the issues identified by Clicks and Links as pre-conditions for successful on-line communities. Clicks and Links have the experience and methodologies to address these issues and the technical skills to develop and deliver electronic services which both reflect local needs and are designed to ensure high levels of take-up.
