Community Portals

Community portals play a vital role in the enablement of an online community; with relevant local and national information and services.

Clicks and Links have delivered a number of community portals using the specialist content management system, Roundabout. Forums, email, chat, and minisites (Web in a Box) are just a few examples of the Roundabout functionality that can be made available for your community. The facilities available enable community users and groups to update and maintain their own content. The Roundabout tools are user friendly and allow quick easy updates, ensuring the content stays fresh and vibrant. In addition to this, Roundabout uses dynamic content types such as RSS Feeds to maintain dynamic content.

However, it isn't just the tools available that make a good community site. Part of the project plan addresses take up, sustainability training for content providers.
