Join eminent historian, newspaper columnist and TV celebrity Dr Tristram Hunt in the first of our annual Friedrich Engels Memorial Lecture series as he discusses the lessons of Victorian civic pride for the present day, the challenges of rolling out regeneration and the need for political bravery from the leaders of regional cities. Chaired by historian and journalist Jonathan Schofield the evening will consist of a 30 minute lecture followed by an open debate with the audience.
This event ran in Second Life Urbis and drew a healthy audience. Questions were streamed into the event giving a true interactive and global Second Life / Real Life experience.
